  • I attended virtual mini-pupillage session. 
  • In this session, barristers discussed their daily responsibilities and routine. 
  • I observed the life as a barrister requires resilience, analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. 

Exchange Chambers London: (June- 2020) 

  • I attended a virtual mini-pupillage event. 
  • The panel discussed the pupillage application process and life at the Chancery Bar. 
  • I learned that barristers have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

East Anglian Chambers: (October- 2020)

  • I attended a virtual mini-pupillage event. 
  • The panel discussed their daily routine and the skills required to become a barrister. 
  • I learnt about the experience of working at a regional practice set.

  • My role included drafting, research and attending client meetings. 
  • I undertook research into the assets and profitability of client companies. 
  • I gained knowledge of contract law by working on multi-national contracts, communication and negotiation skills from helping to solve customers problems.

ASSISTANT ADVOCATE WITH FORMER VICE CHAIRMAN SUPREME COURT AND PRESIDENT SUPREME COURT BAR ASSOCIATION, PAKISTAN:(July-Aug 2019)

My responsibilities included conducting research into various constitutional matters such as the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. 

  • Once, I was tasked to discover which actions fall within the meaning of terrorism, and I found out in section 6 of Anti-terrorism Act 1997, Pakistan that it is anything which causes death, grievous harm or involves an explosion.
  • It enhanced my advocacy, research, and drafting skills

ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS 

COMPANY LAW COURSE REP, UEA LAW SCHOOL (2020-21)

  • I was company Law course Rep.
  • Role was to effectively listen, collate and communicate the views of all the students to the staff. 
  • By taking this role I have built relation with staff and students.

PRESIDENT INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SOCIETY, UEA (2019-20)

  • The largest society for international student. 
  • Responsibilities included organising event, managing people effectively, booking rooms, coordinating with union, securing sponsorships, helping international student in various issues. 
  • Enhanced organisational, leadership and teamwork skills. 

PARTICIPANT UEA LAW SOCIETY MOOTING COMPETITION (2018/19/20)

  • Competed amongst 70 teams and successfully made it to the third round. 
  • Develop my ability to balance my time between my studies and my commitments to the competition.
  • Refined public speaking and research capabilities.

  • It allowed me to take a more comprehensive and strategic approach to deal making. 
  • Learned a better way to reach a solution and preserving better relationship between the parties and to reduce future potential conflicts and frustrations. 

PARTICIPANT MENTOR BEGINNERS MOOTING UEA (2019-20)

  • My role includes helping out beginners motioning participants on preparing for mooting.
  • Helping them making persuasive arguments on point of law.
  • This has been helping me improving legal language and knowing more about the laws and the issues for instance, helping me with doing research on law on weekly basis.
